The Insta360 Mic (2 TX + 1 RX) is designed for interviews, two-person videos and productions that need separate microphones for each speaker. The kit includes two compact transmitters, a Mic Pro Receiver and a charging case that extends total operating time to up to 34 hours. It offers clear wireless sound, flexible multi-camera expansion and optional 32-bit float recordings on each transmitter for a dependable editing workflow.
Two voices, with control over the recording
Each transmitter has one omnidirectional microphone, two-level NPU-powered AI noise cancellation and two gain-control options. Automatic mode helps prevent clipping when volume changes suddenly; Dynamic mode balances levels in quieter conditions. Standard, Rich and Bright presets let each voice retain a preferred character. Choose Mono to combine sound into one track or Stereo to keep the two microphones on separate channels, and enable the -6 dB Safety Track for a lower-level backup of the main audio feed.
Customisable screens and flexible mounting
The two transmitters weigh just 19.4 g each and feature a 1.22-inch, six-colour E-Ink display. Use the Insta360 app to show logos, images or speaker identifiers, making it easier to distinguish microphones during a conversation. The display has an anti-reflective surface for outdoor visibility and very low power consumption with a static image. Each transmitter comes with its own clip, magnet and windshield.
An internal audio file for each speaker
Each transmitter accepts a compatible microSD card, from 8 GB to 1 TB according to the manufacturer’s presentation, for optional 24-bit or 32-bit float internal recording. Separate local files can protect against interruptions in wireless transmission and provide extra flexibility for editing uneven sound levels. Recordings can be exported via USB-C to a phone or computer. There is no built-in memory, and microSD cards are sold separately.
From two speakers to multi-camera productions
The Mic Pro Receiver works with compatible cameras via the included 3.5 mm cable and with supported mobile devices via the USB-C adapter. Transmission range reaches up to 400 m in open, unobstructed and interference-free conditions. One receiver can pair with up to four Mic or Mic Pro transmitters, while configurations of up to two transmitters and four receivers allow audio to reach several cameras at once. Expansion requires additional transmitters or receivers, sold separately.
For separate four-channel recording on select Sony cameras, use the optional Camera Adapter. The receiver also provides timecode input/output for synchronising audio and camera files on supported regional versions; timecode is not available in US versions. Alternatively, transmitters connect directly over Bluetooth to compatible Insta360 X6, X5, Luna Ultra, Luna Pro, Ace Pro 2 and GO Ultra cameras at 48 kHz, without a receiver. X6 and Luna cameras support direct connection of two transmitters simultaneously.
Charging case for longer days
Each transmitter runs for up to 13 hours and the receiver for up to 11 hours under specified laboratory conditions. The included Mic Pro Charging Case automatically pairs the devices when opened and provides approximately two full recharges of two transmitters and one receiver, extending total operating time to as much as 34 hours. The case charges fully in around two hours. A five-minute transmitter charge can deliver up to 2 hours and 20 minutes of recording, while automatic sleep and camera-linked receiver power control help manage battery use.
