Insta360 Link 2 is a gimbal webcam for calls, training, and live demos, featuring a 1/2" sensor, 4K/30 video, and fast phase-detection autofocus. A 2-axis pan/tilt gimbal with AI tracking, gesture control, and presets keeps framing steady, with modes like DeskView, Whiteboard, Overhead, and 9:16 portrait. USB-C, a desktop controller app, and an auto tilt-down privacy position make it straightforward for daily use.
Video capture goes up to 4K at 30 fps, with 1080p and 720p available up to 60 fps. The camera uses a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor and phase-detection autofocus for fast focus on faces, documents, and products held to the lens. Field of view is 79.5° diagonal (about 67° horizontal). A 4× digital zoom is available for tighter framing. Connection is via USB-C 2.0 and the camera is bus-powered.
Innovative AI features
Tracking controls include gesture start/stop. DeskView tilts the camera down to show your workspace. Whiteboard mode detects marked corners and crops to the board for teaching and walkthroughs. You can rotate the camera 90° for 9:16 vertical output. When idle, the lens can tilt down to a privacy position.
Audio tools apply AI noise reduction, with selectable modes for different environments: Voice Focus for solo calls, Voice Suppression for busy rooms, and Music Balance when background audio is part of the scene. Background handling for video includes natural bokeh, full blur, or background replacement, adjusted in the control app.
